1. Filter and Tobacco in Vinyl Sleeve
A cigarette roller provides a uniform, hand-rolled cigarette that is easy for most smokers to achieve. Unlike clumsy, hand-rolled cigarettes that a novice may find difficult to roll, a cigarette roller can be used by nearly anyone, saves time, and can generate more cigarettes more quickly. It is composed of a plastic frame, two plastic spindles or rollers, and a vinyl sleeve. The sleeve is looped over the spindles, and can be changed if it becomes worn. The hand-rollers come in two lengths, 70mm or 79mm, depending on the length of the desired cigarette. If a 70mm hand-roller is used, than a 70mm sheet of rolling paper must be used; a 79mm sheet of rolling paper is used for the larger 79mm frame.

2. Inserting Paper Sheet

The vinyl sleeve acts as a cradle for the cigarette filter and/or tobacco. A filter can be omitted, if desired. After the filter and sufficient tobacco have been lightly tamped into the depressed sleeve, the lower, adjustable roller is brought upward and locked in place. Locking the lower roller brings the two rollers even, and pressed snugly together. When the roller that has been locked in place is turned by a person's thumb, the second roller also turns, taking up the slack in the vinyl sleeve. The tobacco becomes adequately packed in preparation for enclosure in a sheet of rolling paper.

3. Adding Paper Sheet

A single sheet of rolling paper is inserted into the slight gap between the two rollers. As the locked roller is slowly turned, and in turn, spins the second roller, the sheet of rolling paper is drawn into the vinyl sleeve behind and around the filter and tobacco. The strip of glue protruding from the top of the gap is moistened at this time, and the wheels are turned again so that the paper disappears completely between the two rollers. After another quarter turn or so, the lower roller is ready to be unlocked and disengaged. The newly rolled cigarette pops out of the loosened sleeve, and the entire process can then be repeated.
